My father taught me to be my best in all I do.

“Compete with no one, but yourself.”

Be independent, be ambitious”.

My father taught me never to be lost in the cheers of the crowd.

“Be strict to yourself and lenient with others.

“Set your stake and margin for success.

Beware of those who find faults in what you do, they are the problem”.

My father taught me to be happy and creative.

“Don’t be pressured, set your goals, seek your desires

Do something genuine, live life at your pace

You are beautiful just the way you are”.

He taught me to be bold and positive, to bear no grudge.

“You can be whatever you want to be, no limitation, no stopping you”

“Expect nothing from anyone and you will never be disappointed

Be patient, never should the sun set on your anger”.

He told me that there are only but two operational forces on earth.

“There is the supernatural all-sufficient God and yourself;

Every other has been defeated and fear is still it’s weapon”.

He taught me the importance of freedom and the scar of abuse.

“Don’t be wayward, don’t be a coward and let no one cage you.

“Wake up early enough to think and plan your flight”.

He taught me sacrifice and told me:

“A healthy happy life is worth more;

“Never mistake humility for stupidity;

“Speak less than you listen;

“Silence is still the best reaction when angry;

“Appreciate the peace maker, they are but few in town;

“Be nice, be the reason for someone’s smile;

“There is hardly a win in gambling, don’t be pawned;

“For the next generation, you must do better than I did;

Your tomorrow starts now”.

 My father taught me to be grateful always.

“Let your gratitude be an unending melody to the heavens

“Accept only thank you for gratitude;

Bribe, cuts, grease-palms destroyed kings”.

My father taught me to love generously.

“while society resets the rules,  it’s still great to care.

“Keep a straight gaze even as you moan through the wonderland.

The betrayed is the one who refused the dictates of wisdom”.

My father taught me to celebrate and make merry

“Gather around nature. Spread the rug, get the music;

Barbeque, meat kebab,  soda, spirits, wines and water.”

“Relax, eat, drink, dance and laugh;

Optimistically gaze into the future, appreciate your journey so far”

 My father taught me.
